Tussar Saree with Kantha Stitched work.

DESCRIPTION

This saree was hand drawn by an artist living in Shantiniketan. This was then hand embroidered in the Kantha technique using different stitches to outline, fill and texture the border and the aanchal- due to the design being heavy, the body of the saree has been kept plain, the base fabric being handwoven tussar.
