*Kala cotton, indigenous to Kutch is one of the few pure, old world, organic cotton  species remaining in India. Since the crop is purely rain-fed, it doesn't require vast amounts of water to grow, thus making it one of the most sturdy, coarse and sustainable textile fabrics.
